Project Overview
Material: C93700 high-leaded tin bronze
Process: Centrifugal Casting
Standard: ASTM B271
Customer: Panama Canal Authority (ACP)
Inspection: SGS chemical analysis + dimensional inspection
Application: Marine infrastructure equipment
These C93700 centrifugal cast bronze bushings were manufactured for the Panama Canal Authority (ACP).
This project involved the production of centrifugal cast bronze components supplied to the Panama Canal Authority (ACP) for marine and heavy-duty equipment maintenance.
The components were manufactured using C93700 high-leaded tin bronze, a material widely used for heavy-load bearings, bushings, and wear-resistant parts in marine and industrial applications.
All parts were produced through the centrifugal casting process, ensuring excellent density, uniform structure, and superior mechanical properties.

Material Specification
Material: C93700 Bronze
Casting Process: Centrifugal Casting
Standard: ASTM B271/B271M Copper Alloy Centrifugal Castings ASTM B0271 B0271M centrifugal c…
C93700 is a high-leaded tin bronze alloy with excellent:
- anti-friction performance
- wear resistance
- good machinability
- strong load-bearing capacity
It is commonly used in marine equipment, heavy machinery, and hydraulic applications.
SGS Material Verification
To guarantee material compliance, a sample test bar from the production batch was tested by SGS laboratory.
The test included:
- Chemical composition analysis
- Brinell hardness testing
- Tensile testing
According to the SGS report:
- Tensile strength: 271 MPa
- Yield strength: 153 MPa
- Elongation: 21%
All mechanical properties meet the requirements of ASTM B271 standard for C93700 copper alloy centrifugal castings. C93700-2 SGS certificate
The full SGS certificate is available for verification.
Dimensional Inspection
Before shipment, each casting was inspected according to the customer’s technical drawings.
Inspection included:
- Inside diameter measurement
- Outside diameter measurement
- Height measurement
- Hole diameter and depth
- Chamfer dimensions
- Surface roughness
Example inspection results:
Inside Diameter: approx. 222.23 mm
Outer Diameter: approx. 270 mm
Height: 150 mm
Surface roughness measurement:
Ra approx. 0.55–0.76 μm
All inspection records were documented and photographed for traceability.

Manufacturing Process
The bushings were produced using centrifugal casting to ensure dense material structure and excellent mechanical properties.
Production steps included:
- Raw material melting and alloy preparation
- Centrifugal casting of bronze bushings
- Rough machining
- Precision CNC machining
- Dimensional inspection
- Surface roughness verification
- Laser marking of customer order number
- Final packaging and shipment
Each component was laser marked with the customer’s order number to ensure full traceability during installation and maintenance.

Application
These bronze components are used in marine and heavy industrial equipment for:
- wear-resistant bushings
- bearing housings
- rotating equipment components
C93700 bronze is particularly suitable for high-load, low-speed environments such as marine and canal machinery.
